The Bigfoot Hunter's Guide:
Warm Weather Bigfoot Hunting

Spring/Summer Bigfoot Hunting
In the Spring/Summer months, keeping cool and dry will be the primary concern. You will want to wear cloting that will allow heat heat to escape and your skin to breathe. Insects will also become a problem at this time of year, and clothing should be chosen to protect against them.

Undergarments
Wear something that will dry quickly and allows your skin to breathe. Change clothing often, especially if it gets damp. A number of  moisture related ailments can be prevented this way, and  you will feel more clean and comfortable.

Shirts
Long sleeved shirts are recommended to protect against ticks, chiggers, mosquitoes and poison ivy. Despite the long sleeves, loose fitting shirts create a billows effect produced by your movement and will help cool you off.

Pants
Pants should be long for the same reasons stated above. they should extend down over the boot completely covering the legs. The more pockets, the better.

Shorts
If you absolutely have to wear shorts, I recommend wearing cargo shorts. they have lots of pockets that come in handy for snacks, tools or other handy items.

Hat
In the warmer months it is generally better to have a cap with some type of visor to block the sun, shield the eyes during rain, and guard against ticks.

Socks
Wear light cotton socks that provide enough padding to make walking comfortable. Change your socks often to prevent problems especially if they get wet.

Boots
I prefer a pair of comfortable hiking boots. Do not buy new boots right before going on an expedition. Let your boots break in for a couple weeks before going long distances in them. I also like to wet my boots a little when breaking them in. This lets the leather take the shape of your foot a little bit. This break-in period should be carried out with the same type of socks you will be wearing on the expedition. That way you will know whether these items will work well together. Check to make sure your laces aren't waring out before leaving.

Rain Gear
Some type of poncho or rainsuit will allow you to continue your expedition regardless of what the weather is doing.
